Kirk Cousins’ out for season after tearing Achilles tendon

One of the most successful Michigan State football alumni in the NFL will miss the rest of the season and his future as a quarterback in the league could come into question, as Kirk Cousins suffered a torn Achilles on Sunday against the Packers.

While an injury like this is never good, this is particularly concerning for Cousins, who, at 35, was expected to get one more big NFL contract before riding off into the sunset. Achilles tears are very difficult to come back from, especially once you get closer to 40, so it’s ultimately possible this is the last time we see Kirk Cousins in the NFL, but not impossible.
