UGA football coach Kirby Smart thinks Nick Chubb can make a fully recovery from his leg injury. Smart has seen him do it before before

Georgia Bulldogs football head coach Kirby Smart has seen Nick Chubb recover from a devastating leg injury before. In Smart’s first season as the head coach at Georgia, he relied heavily on Nick Chubb to power the Bulldogs’ offense.

In fact, Nick Chubb rushed for 222 yards and scored two touchdowns against North Carolina in his first game back following a devastating knee injury in he suffered in 2015.

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb is one of the most well-liked and respected players in the NFL. Chubb is humble and just wants to win.

Nick Chubb suffered a season-ending left knee injury during Monday Night Football against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Nick Chubb was carted off the field after injuring the same knee that he hurt during the 2015 Tennessee game at Georgia.

Kirby Smart knows that Nick Chubb is a resilient guy, but more importantly, Smart emphasizes that Chubb is a great person.

He’s an incredible human being first and foremost. What kid still goes back to their high school weight room, strength coach, program, track and works out the way he does? It’s very rare in the sports world to find someone as humble and just a great person like he is.

Nick Chubb is one of the lowest maintenance superstars in the NFL. Kirby Smart noted that he did reach out to Nick Chubb after his serious injury.

I reached out to him. I know he’s probably flooded with all kinds of (messages) and people reaching out to him, so no expectation of anything in return. Just a lot of respect for him and what he did for this program in terms of toughness, buy-in, and giving back.

Tons of Nick Chubb’s former teammates and athletes across the NFL and NBA prayed for Chubb after his leg injury.

Smart and Georgia associate athletic director of sports medicine Ron Courson both think that Nick Chubb will be able to make a full recovery.

I talked to Ron (Courson) about it today, and I think he’ll make a full recovery and bounce back. That’s just who he is so he’ll be ready to get back after it.

If Nick Chubb could return from his latest serious leg injury, then he would be nearing uncharted territory.
