Kim Mulkey on the trash talk between LSU’s Angel Reese and Iowa’s Caitlin Clark

Kim Mulkey isn’t too caught up with any of the talk between Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark.

At her press conference on Sunday, LSU head coach [autotag]Kim Mulkey[/autotag] was asked about the trash talk seen between [autotag]Angel Reese[/autotag] and Iowa’s Caitlin Clark last year.

Mulkey doesn’t seem too concerned with it. Mulkey shrugged it off, saying it’s something you see all the time when you watch basketball.

Mulkey said one of her greatest memories is watching basketball at the 1984 Olympics and hearing those players talk at each other on the court.

“I was in heaven,” Mulkey said, “The crap that came out of those guys mouths. I couldn’t quit watching. It’s sports.”

Mulkey said she was a trash talker herself, and quipped she was thankful she didn’t have the media following her back when she played.

The matchup of Reese and Clark is taking center stage in this one. The two faced each other on the AAU circuit before meeting again in the national title last year.

Clark was asked about facing Reese and LSU after Iowa’s Sweet 16 win.

“It’s going to be great for our game and I couldn’t be more excited,” Clark said.
