Kickoff time announced for Iowa football vs. Ohio State Buckeyes

Kickoff time has been announced for the Iowa Hawkeyes road trip to take on the Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday, Oct. 5.

While the Iowa Hawkeyes are on a bye week right now, they can already begin their preparations for the next matchup, which is their biggest test of the season.

Iowa returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 5th with a road trip to take on the Ohio State Buckeyes. Kickoff time has just been announced and this matchup is going to be receiving the primetime treatment in a national slot.

Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, Oct. 5 and the game will be airing on CBS.

Iowa is sitting at 3-1 after handling the Minnesota Golden Gophers in their Big Ten opener with a dominant second half. The Buckeyes are coming off of a 49-14 win over the Marshall Thundering Herd and are currently ranked No. 3 in the nation.

The Buckeyes open up their Big Ten slate this Saturday, Sep. 28with their first road trip of the year when they take on the Michigan State Spartans.

Ohio State holds a commanding lead in this series by a tally of 16 wins to just three losses. The last meeting came on October 22nd in Columbus and saw Ohio State win handily by a score of 54-10.

Iowa’s last win against Ohio State came in the famous 55-24 victory inside Kinnick Stadium when everything was working for Iowa as they knocked off the Buckeyes.
