Key Penn State recruiting target announces commitment date

One of Penn State’s top in-state recruiting targets sets his commitment date.

Penn State could be on the cusp of adding another notable in-stare recruit to its Class of 2024 pretty soon. In fact, we now have a specific date to add to the calendar for a four-star player expected to commit to the Nittany Lions.

[autotag]Mylachi Williams[/autotag], a four-star edge rusher from Drexel Hill, announced over the weekend he has a commitment date set for July 8. Williams appears to be deciding between Penn State, Pittsburgh, and Syracuse, the three schools with official visits scheduled in June. But it appears likely he will be committing to Penn State according to the most recent updates to the 247Sports crystal ball board, with all three predictions on the record favoring the Nittany Lions.

The On3 recruiting prediction machine also calculates Penn State to have a 94.8% chance of landing the commitment from Williams.

Williams is rated as the no. 6 player in the state of Pennsylvania according to the 247Sports composite rankings. If Williams does end up with Penn State, that would give Penn State five of the state’s top 10 players in the Class of 2024, including the top three players with Quinton Martin, Cooper Cousins, and Tyseer Denmark.
