Kevin Durant teams up with Degree to donate $1 million to youth groups

Kevin Durant is helping youth organizations across the country, including three New York City-based groups.

Kevin Durant is no stranger to giving back to the community. His companies recently made a donation to the NAACP and Center for Policing Equity in honor of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and “all those who’ve lost their lives or suffered injustice at the hands of the police.”

The Brooklyn Nets forward is lending a helping hand again, this time alongside Degree Deodorant.

Durant and Degree announced on Thursday that they have donated $1 million to 10 organizations across the country sports programs and rec centers in some of the hardest-hit communities nationwide to help more than 100,000 kids “#KeepMoving.”

Among the 10 groups are three New York City-based organizations: Kids in the Game, Row NY and New Heights Youth Inc. All three of these NYC groups are nonprofit organizations. New Heights is located in Brooklyn and will use the donation to finish its new basketball facility.
