Kevin Durant doesn’t deny wanting to win multiple championships with Nets

Kevin Durant did downplay his relationship with Jackie MacMullan, but he does not deny winning three championships on the Brooklyn Nets.

Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant took exception to a recent comment from ESPN’s Jackie MacMullan on the “The Bill Simmons podcast.”

But it’s what he didn’t say in reaction to her comment that caught our attention.

On the podcast, MacMullan details how she believes that Durant is aiming for three championships in Brooklyn. Although Durant downplayed the idea that he would say such a thing publicly, he didn’t exactly shut down the idea.

Said MacMullan, “I do think in talking with him, his genuine goal is to win three championships in Brooklyn.”

Durant responded via Twitter by saying, “Once again, I don’t even talk like this … plus I don’t have a relationship with Jackie for us to have in-depth conversations about my intentions as a basketball player. I get she plays an opinion-based sport, but she framed this like we are friends. We are not.”

Although the Nets forward distanced himself from MacMullan and her speculative comment, he didn’t deny the fact that he wants to win multiple championships in Brooklyn.

Durant, still just 32 years old, is a fierce competitor who remains at the top of his game. If he decided to remain with the Nets beyond his current contract, which expires in 2023, winning three championships with the Nets is entirely possible.

Bet against him at your own risk.
