Kevin Durant appears to be unhappy with his ESPN Rank

Did ESPN get Kevin Durant’s ranking right among the top 10 players in the league?

Earlier this week ESPN released its list of top 100 players for the upcoming NBA season, and Nets superstar Kevin Durant appeared to respond publicly after dropping to eighth overall on the list.

Following ESPN’s rankings, Kevin Durant took to Twitter to post a screenshot of some lyrics from the song Uncle Bun by Benny the Butcher. The lyrics, “Look, these lames still caught up ’cause my name’s still brought up. In top five convo from Langfield to Gainesville, Florida.”

Clearly, Durant is unhappy with the eighth ranking, especially considering that last year the slender sharpshooter was ranked as the best player in the nation. Durant’s tweet clearly takes a shot at ESPN’s list, as he likely believes himself to be one of the league’s elite.

A few other Brooklyn Nets made ESPN’s Rank, with Seth Curry, Ben Simmons and guard Kyrie Irving ranking outside the top 25.
