After going 2 – 0 last week, including a season-defining win against the Auburn Tigers on Saturday, the Kentucky Wildcats face a different group of Tigers on Wednesday night when the 13 – 12 LSU Tigers host the 18 – 7 Wildcats.
Kentucky is coming off a week where they played their best defense of the season, particularly against Auburn. The offense is as good as any in the country, but the defense has struggled. However, if they are able to play like they did on Saturday for the rest of the year, they’ll be tough to beat.
LSU has also been a solid offense this year, averaging over 77 points per game. Like Kentucky earlier in the year, they have had trouble preventing other teams from scoring. Opponents are scoring 74 points per game, which puts them 247th in the nation. The Wildcats will look to take advantage of that.
The biggest key to the game, perhaps, is Kentucky not overlooking the Tigers. They just played a huge game against Auburn, and will play ranked Alabama on Saturday, so getting up for the Tigers will be important.
