The hits keep on coming for Kentucky football after their worst season since 2013. The Wildcats have already lost a number of offensive starters to the transfer portal, and on Monday, Chip Trayanum is added to the list.
Trayanum is a running back who transferred to Kentucky this past offseason from Ohio State, and was expected to carry the load in the backfield. However, a hand injury derailed his season, and he was really never able to get fully healthy.

On the year, Trayanum played in just three games, and totaled just 101 yards rushing on 19 carries. Like the rest of the offense this year, it was a disappointing season.
Trayanum is a big back, and will certainly have offers in the portal. As for the Wildcats, they’ll need to completely rebuild the offense this offseason, including at the running back position. This will be coach Mark Stoops’ biggest offseason yet.
