Kentucky basketball reaches out to 2025 recruit Shelton Henderson

Top 50 recruit Shelton Henderson has been contacted by Kentucky basketball.

With a very good coaching staff in place, Mark Pope and Kentucky basketball are diving into the 2025 recruiting class head first. A number of targets have been identified already, and forward Shelton Henderson is now on the list as well.

Henderson is a four-star forward out of Texas, and is currently ranked 51st overall by 247sports. He’s 6’6″ and 220 lbs which makes him a physical wing player that will make him difficult to guard for smaller players.

Former Baylor assistant Alvin Brooks was a huge addition to Pope’s staff, and he’s the one who contacted Henderson. Henderson had this to say:

The new staff at Kentucky just hit me up. It was Coach Brooks from Baylor. He recruited me at Baylor, so he hit me up to let me know they are going to be watching me.

It remains way to early to predict who will sign with Kentucky from the 2025 recruiting class. However, it’s exciting to see that Pope and his staff are out there and going after the best that the class has to offer.
