Kentucky basketball in pursuit of Stanford transfer Andrej Stojakovic

Andrej Stojakovic is set to visit Kentucky basketball this weekend.

New Kentucky basketball head coach Mark Pope has been working hard in the transfer portal. He has scheduled visits for some quality players this weekend already, and now appears to be adding one more, Andrej Stojakovic, to the list.

The son of Peja Stojakovic, Andrej was a four-star recruit in the 2023 class, ranking as a top 25 player in the class. He was it’s fifth ranked small forward. Former Kentucky coach John Calipari recruited him, but he ultimately chose Stanford.

In his one season at Stanford, Stojakovic started 10 games and played in 32 games. He averaged 7.8 points per game, adding 3.4 rebounds and an assist per contest.

Stojakovic is down to three schools, with California and North Carolina joining Kentucky. He is expected to visit Pope and the Wildcats this weekend. There is no timeline for his decision at this time.

Kentucky continues to look for talented players to fill out a roster left empty after the coaching change. Stojakovic would give them a wing player with loads of potential, and Big Blue Nation would be excited to have him.
