Kentucky baseball is projected as the number two overall seed in NCAA Tournament

Kentucky baseball is projected to be the number two overall seed in the NCAA Regionals.

Kentucky baseball suffered losses in two of their three SEC Tournament games. They were eliminated on Friday by South Carolina in a game they lost 6 – 5.

Next up for the Cats is the NCAA Tournament, which begins with the Regionals on May 31st. On Monday, the field will be set, and Kentucky will find out their exact seeding, and who they will play. At one time, the Wildcats were projected as the number one overall seed. That was before their SEC Tournament losses, however.

On Saturday, D1 Baseball updated their predictions for the field of 64. Kentucky is one of 11 SEC teams they put into the NCAA Tournament.

The Wildcats are currently projected as the number two seed overall. They would play in Lexington, joining the Nebraska Cornhuskers, California Golden Bears, and Northern Kentucky Norse. These four teams will compete for a shot at moving on to the next round. The Tennessee Volunteers are the number one seed in the projections.

This is only a prediction. The real field will be set on Monday, and Kentucky will find out what comes next. It’s likely that the Cats will be one of the top seeds. Big Blue Nation eagerly awaits the next step in the journey.
