Keldon Johnson says Spurs are ‘striving in the right direction’

Keldon Johnson is very excited about the future of the San Antonio Spurs.

When the San Antonio Spurs began this season, there were high expectations for rookie Victor Wembanyama. The 7-foor-4 Frenchman was heralded as one of the best prospects in decades, and throughout the year, he lived up to those sky-high expectations. Wembanyama has been amazing this season, and with him, the Spurs have steadily improved.

Though they finished toward the bottom of the Western Conference, they picked up the pace toward the end of the season. They won seven of their last 11 games, most of which were without some of their core players, as San Antonio shut some people down for the season.

“Even when we don’t win, we’re still getting better,” Johnson said. “I feel like we are striving in the right direction. I feel like we are right there and it is only a matter of time.”

With Wembanyama, Johnson, Devin Vassell, Jeremy Sochan, and others, the Spurs are set up for a great next few years of basketball, at the very least.
