[autotag]Trackhouse Racing[/autotag] has a rough situation brewing for the 2025 NASCAR season. As it stands, Trackhouse Racing has four drivers under contract, and only two charters are available. Zane Smith is one of those drivers and doesn’t have a ride for 2025. The other is Shane van Gisbergen, who runs full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series with [autotag]Kaulig Racing[/autotag].
In fact, Kaulig Racing could be the way that Trackhouse Racing solves its seat problem in the Cup Series. The Door, Bumper, Clear podcast recently talked about NASCAR silly season rumors, and Brett Griffin suggested that the two teams could combine forces.
“Lot of rumors out there as to how that [Trackhouse Racing] thing is going to play out,” Griffin said. “[Kaulig Racing president Chris Rice] is going to be on here in two weeks, and when he’s sitting right here where Butterbean’s sitting, I’m gonna flat out ask him, “Are you merging with Trackhouse?”
Griffin is suggesting that rumors are floating around that Kaulig Racing could merge with Trackhouse Racing. If so, it would combine the teams’ charters and give them four seats, paving the way for Smith and van Gisbergen. NASCAR silly season is expected to be insane, and Trackhouse Racing could make it even crazier with Kaulig Racing.
