[autotag]Kaulig Racing[/autotag]’s long-awaited announcement has finally arrived as they revealed the driver of the No. 31 Cup car for the 2024 NASCAR season on Friday afternoon. That driver is [autotag]Daniel Hemric[/autotag], who currently drives for the organization in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. The race team has been hyping up the announcement for weeks while the No. 16 Cup car is still uncertain.
Hemric won the 2021 Xfinity Series championship with Joe Gibbs Racing before he moved to Kaulig Racing in 2022. Since then, the 32-year-old driver has not won a race but is slowly becoming more competitive overall. Now, Hemric will be able to show his talent on NASCAR’s biggest stage for the second time in his career.

The Kaulig Racing driver previously drove full-time in the Cup Series with Richard Childress Racing in 2019. Hemric only had one top-5 finish and two top-10 finishes but he is definitely more ready for this opportunity than last time. When Hemric moved to Kaulig Racing, it felt like Cup Series racing was the long-term goal, and that has officially been reached.
