Kaulig Racing addresses rumor of merging with Trackhouse Racing in 2025

Kaulig Racing addresses the rumor of merging with Trackhouse Racing in 2025. Find out what Kaulig Racing president Chris Rice had to say!

[autotag]Kaulig Racing[/autotag]’s future in the NASCAR Cup Series has been a topic of conversation after the rumors of a possible merger with Trackhouse Racing. The NASCAR organization currently has two charters with only one full-time driver. However, will the organization merge with Trackhouse Racing before the 2025 NASCAR season?

On Thursday, Kaulig Racing president Chris Rice jumped on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio to address the rumor involving Trackhouse Racing. Rice denied the possibility but teased that something else is happening behind the scenes.

“[Kaulig Racing is] not merging, we’re not doing anything like that,” Rice said. “We are very close to [Trackhouse Racing], and we will be close to Trackhouse for a while, but we’re also very close to [Richard Childress Racing] if you want to look at it that way…We knew 2024 was going to be hard on us because it was what we called a gap year for Kaulig Racing. We have some exciting stuff behind the scenes. We’re very tight-lipped about what we do. We always throw diversions out there so people talk about us.”

“I spent some time in Ohio this week. I’m pretty excited about it, and when we’re able to talk about it, and share it. I think the worry is, ‘Is Matt Kaulig going away?’ Matt Kaulig isn’t going away. I mean, we don’t have a charter agreement done right now. so focus on that, and then we can focus on what we can do.”

Obviously, several rumors that fly around during NASCAR silly season might not come true. It will be interesting to see what happens with Kaulig Racing moving forward and whether the rumor comes true. Rice is denying the possibility, but nothing is official in NASCAR silly season until something actually happens.
