It was a loaded field for the Best Actress (Drama Series) at the 82nd Golden Globes of on Sunday night, with Anna Sawai taking home the prize for her work on Shōgun.
The highly-acclaimed FX series won all four awards it was nominated for, including best lead and supporting actors for Hiroyuki Sanada and Tadanobu Asano, as well as Best Drama Series.

Sawai was up against a powerhouse lineup that included Keira Knightley (Black Doves), Maya Erskine (Mr. & Mrs. Smith), Emma D’Arcy (House of the Dragon), Keri Russell (The Diplomat) and the iconic Kathy Bates (Matlock).
When Sawai’s name was announced, Bates dramatically (and obviously playfully) ripped up her acceptance speech.
