Kareem Hunt signs 2-year contract extension with the Browns

The Browns and running back Kareem Hunt have agreed to a new 2-year contract extension that will keep Hunt in Cleveland through the 2022 NFL season.
Hunt, a Cleveland-area native, signed a 2-year, $13.25 million contract extension to stay with his beloved hometown team. Ian Rapoport of NFL.com was the first to report the figures.
The new deal avoids a free agency situation for both sides. The 2017 NFL rushing champ is playing in 2020 on a 1-year, $3.259 million deal after playing eight games for the Browns in 2019.
He ran for 179 yards on 43 carries and also caught 37 passes in shared backfield duty with Nick Chubb
