No. 57 overall prospect – Kaleb Wesson
What Rookie Wire says about Kaleb Wesson
“Ohio State’s Kaleb Wesson is a stretch big who has thrived in the pick-and-pop. He is also a sharp passer out of the short roll in PnR possessions, which makes him an intriguing development project for teams looking for a modern big in the second round.”
What we say
Wesson showed coachability and a willingness to better himself by dropping weight and working on his footwork and outside game. Unfortunately, despite those positives, he’s a bit of a tweener in the NBA game and will have to work really hard to impress scouts and NBA executives. Worst come to worst, Wesson could carve out a very good overseas career which isn’t all that bad.
