The Indianapolis Colts nominated veteran defensive end Justin Houston for the 2020 Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award, the team announced Thursday.

Each team nominates a player “who best demonstrates the qualities of on-field sportsmanship, including fair play, respect for the game and opponents, and integrity in competition.” A panel of former NFL players will select eight finalists for the award—four from each conference—where the winner will be announced at the NFL Honors show.

When the finalists are chosen, those eight players will be on the Pro Bowl ballot under the Sportsmanship award category when the players begin voting on Dec. 18.

The Colts have had only one player win this award—running back Frank Gore in 2018. Former quarterback Andrew Luck (2018) and wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (2019) have been recent finalists for the Colts.
