The weeklong release of the EA Sports Madden 24 ratings has ended: Quarterbacks, linebackers, fullbacks and special teams players were announced on Friday morning.
Wide receivers and safeties came out on Monday, followed by defensive linemen and edge rushers on Tuesday. Wednesday brought offensive linemen and running backs, and on Thursday we obtained the ratings for cornerbacks and tight ends.
The one thing every Oregon Duck fan wanted to know, though, was how highly rated quarterback Justin Herbert was in the newest edition of the game. His numbers were released, along with four other Ducks: two QBs and two LBs.
Player Name | Team Name | Rating |
Justin Herbert | Los Angeles Chargers | 87 |
Marcus Mariota | Philadelphia Eagles | 69 |
Troy Dye | Minnesota Vikings | 67 |
Noah Sewell | Chicago Bears | 66 |
Anthony Brown | Baltimore Ravens | 57 |
Unsurprisingly, Herbert is the highest-rated Duck in the game, edging DeForest Buckner, who has a rating of 86. Herbert is also the sixth highest-rated QB in the game, trailing Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson and Jalen Hurts.
With a new offensive coordinator, Kellen Moore, this season, there is a chance we see a real breakout for Herbert in 2023 while conducting a more high-powered offense that utilizes his arm talent more than we’ve seen in the past. Should that happen, it will be interesting to see what his numbers look like a year from now.
