It has been an incredibly busy offseason for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Pittsburgh has added multiple starters in the first week but lost a few as well. One of those is wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, who is joining the Kansas City Chiefs on a one-year prove-it contract. This feels like a deal the Steelers could have done with Smith-Schuster as well but according to his mom, Pittsburgh didn’t want him.

Smith-Schuster’s mom took to Instagram to let everyone know the two of them wanted to stay in Pittsburgh but the team didn’t want him. That it wasn’t about money it was loyalty and the Steelers had moved on.

I’m not disputing the honesty of what she is saying here but I can certainly see the Steelers making the decision to go in a different direction. Last offseason, Smith-Schuster went out and shopped himself before returning to the Steelers after the fact. The Steelers have spent a lot of money this offseason with more to go.

But I want to pass the question off to you. Should the Steelers have re-signed Smith-Schuster or do you believe his mom when she says they didn’t want him?
