It was not pretty, but Team USA men’s basketball team escaped a win over South Sudan. LeBron James scored a bucket late in the game, and the US got a defensive stop as time expired.
Jrue Holiday, former UCLA Bruins star scored eight points in 18 minutes of action. Holiday was 4-for-7 from the field, and he added four rebounds and three assists in the game.
The leading scorer for Team USA was LeBron James. He scored 23 points and recorded 6 rebounds and 6 assists. The other starters, Joel Embiid, Devin Booker, and Steph Curry had 14, 15 and 12 respectively.
Off the bench, Anthony Edwards and Anthony Davis went for double digits, with 11 and 15 respectively.
Jrue Holiday forces a tough look and Derrick White blocks the put-back.
Thank the Boston Celtics for saving America.
