Jrue and the Celtics take Game 1.

The Boston Celtics kept things rolling on Thursday in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. The Celtics went from May 27th until June 6th without playing a game but showed no signs of rust in the 107-89 win over the Dallas Mavericks.

Former UCLA Bruins guard Jrue Holiday was once again a big factor in the win. Holiday scored 12 points and ripped down 8 rebounds. He was also able to dish out 5 assists. Holiday was 4 from 9 from the field and did not turn the ball over as the point guard.

Holiday has been a massive key for Boston all season. He played in 69 regular season games and scored 12.5 points per game, dishing out nearly 5 assists per game.

Game 2 of the NBA Finals is set for Sunday. This game will also take place at the TD Garden in Boston. The first game in Dallas is slated for Wednesday, June 12th. Game 4 will take place on Friday, June 14th.
