Tennessee basketball forward J.P. Estrella announces season-ending injury.

Tennessee (6-0) enters its fourth week of the 2024-25 college basketball season. The Vols have won all six of their contests to start the season.

Tennessee sophomore forward J.P. Estrella announced an injury update on Monday. The 6-foot-11, 250-pound forward will miss the remainder of the season due to a foot injury.

“Vol nation, I’m disappointed to share with all of you that, unfortunately, my 2024-25 season is over,” Estrella announced. “I’ll be getting surgery on my left foot. This has been a lingering injury and it’s important to get it addressed.”

Estrella appeared in three games for the Vols this season, averaging 4.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game.
