Joshua Williams came down with impressive pick at Chiefs’ Tuesday practice

Joshua Williams managed to grab an outstanding interception during the #Chiefs’ workouts on Tuesday.

Second-year cornerback Joshua Williams made the best play of the Kansas City Chiefs’ practice on Tuesday, coming down with an impressive interception that required extreme concentration.

The pick came after a pass by quarterback Blaine Gabbert that was intended for receiver John Ross. The ball was tipped high in the air before eventually being snatched by Williams, who tumbled to the ground after securing it in his arms.

Tenacious, ball-hawking efforts like this would be a boon for Kansas City’s defense, and if players can show that they can make plays like this with regularity, the team’s secondary will surely see their numbers improve across the board.

The Chiefs have, at times, struggled to generate turnovers, though Williams managed to come down with one interception as a rookie during the 2022 season.

Though this pick won’t count toward his career totals, Williams isn’t likely to forget the highlight reel play as he looks to out-perform the high standards he set for himself during his stellar rookie campaign.
