Former Vol Joshua Dobbs starts season opener for Arizona.

Washington defeated Arizona, 20-16, Sunday at FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland.

Former Vol Joshua Dobbs started at quarterback for the Cardinals.

In his third career NFL start, Dobbs completed 21-of-30 passing attempts for 132 yards.

Dobbs was traded to Arizona from Cleveland during training camp.

He started the final two games for Tennessee last season after Ryan Tannehill suffered a season-ending injury.

In Week 18, Dobbs completed 20-of-29 passing attempts for 179 yards, one touchdown and one interception in the Titans’ 20-16 loss versus Jacksonville.

He played for the Vols from 2013-16 under head coach Butch Jones. Dobbs was the MVP of the 2016 Music City Bowl.

He was selected by Pittsburgh in the fourth-round of the 2017 NFL draft. Dobbs played for the Steelers, Jacksonville, Cleveland and Tennessee before joining Arizona.
