The New England Patriots will be without a handful of their top players on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills in Week 8 at Orchard Park Stadium.
After New England placed receiver Julian Edelman (knee) and tackle Justin Herron (ankle) on injured reserve on Saturday, the Patriots also announced cornerback Stephon Gilmore (knee) and receiver N’Keal Harry (concussion) wouldn’t play.
The Patriots added to their inactive list on Sunday morning with the following players: defensive lineman Carl Davis, tight ends Devin Asiasi and Dalton keene, safety Kyle Dugger (ankle) and quarterback Brian Hoyer.
Without Harry or Edelman, the Patriots’ receiving corps will be diminished in Week 8. They’ll likely turn to receiver Jakobi Meyers and Gunner Olszewski for increased roles. Tight end Ryan Izzo will be the only player active at his position.

With Gilmore and Dugger out, the Patriots secondary will have to adjust. J.C. Jackson, Jason McCourty and Jon Jones will likely be the top players at cornerback. Adrian Phillips and Terrence Brooks may get more snaps to compensate for Dugger’s absence at safety.
The Patriots kick off against the Bills at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
