Former Vol Josh Richardson signed with Miami.
Richardson returns to the Heat after being drafted by Miami in 2015.
He played for the Vols from 2011-15 and was a First-Team All-SEC performer. He was also a two-time member of the league’s all-defensive team in 2014-15. Richardson averaged 16 points per game during his final season at Tennessee.
Richardson played for the Heat from 2015-19. He also played for Philadelphia (2019-20), Dallas (2020-21), Boston (2021-22), San Antonio (2022-23) and New Orleans (2023).
Richardson signed a two-year, $6 million contract with Miami. Miami advanced to the NBA Finals in 2023 as the Eastern Conference’s No. 8 seed. The Heat lost the championship series to Denver, 4-1.
