Josh Richardson scores 16 points in loss to Bulls

Recapping Josh Richardson’s performance against Chicago Sunday.

Josh Richardson had a solid game for Dallas Sunday night.

His performance was not enough to keep Dallas from going down in defeat to the Bulls in Chicago.

Richardson, a former University of Tennessee basketball player, scored 16 points, pulled down four rebounds and dished out two assists in the Mavericks’ 118-108 loss at Chicago.

Richardson, who played for the Philadelphia 76ers last season, logged 36 minutes in a start for Dallas (2-4).

Since joining the Mavericks this year, Richardson is averaging 13.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game.

Dallas is Richardson’s third NBA team in his career.

He was drafted by the Miami Heat in 2015. The former Vol was selected in the second round of the NBA draft with the No. 40 overall pick.

While playing for the Volunteers, he was a first-team All-Southeastern Conference standout in 2015 and a member of the league’s All-Defensive Team in 2014 and 2015.
