He’s been gone from Cleveland for two years now, but the shadow of Josh Gordon never really goes away. The former Browns wide receiver has once again applied for reinstatement from the NFL to end another drug-related suspension.
The NFL Network reported that Gordon is seeking to try once again to get back into the league. He is on his eighth suspension since entering the league in 2011, all for substance abuse issues.
After a spectacular 2012 in Cleveland, where Gordon led the NFL with over 1,600 receiving yards, he’s missed 51 total games due to various suspensions. The Browns finally gave up on Gordon and traded him to the New England Patriots in 2018. He spent part of 2019 in Seattle before his latest suspension.
