While the basketball world fixates on the coasts—and Zion—Ja Morant is genuinely becoming a unique NBA player. The Memphis Grizzlies rookie has dealt with growing pains, as expected, but his ability in the open court, and off the shot-creating off the dribble show why he was a possible No. 1 overall pick. With Morant, there is also the innate desire to be great, complemented with his natural on-camera presence during interviews.

Early Grade: A+
