Jordan-Shaq factor: Early grades for the top 15 picks in 2019 draft

While keeping the Jordan-Shaq Factor in mind, we have made some early grades for the first 15 players selected in the 2019 NBA Draft.

4th pick: De’Andre Hunter

Hunter, the No. 4 overall pick out of Virginia, missed out on a pretty decent internship to learn greatness when the Lakers traded out of that slot. But he isn’t overshadowed on the young Atlanta Hawks team, and he’s done a stable job with the opportunity. Not a highly ranked prospect in high school—which is very Jordan—Hunter has not struggled as consistently like most rookies, averaging over 10 points per game and nearly five rebounds, too. The Hawks’ star is Trae Young, of course, but Hunter could be one of those steady players who all of a sudden—boom!—become elite!
