Jordan Walsh was the third Razorback taken in the 2023 NBA Draft. He goes No. 38 overall to the Boston Celtics.

[autotag]Jordan Walsh[/autotag] has officially become the third Arkansas player to hear his name called in the 2023 NBA Draft. Walsh was selected No. 38 overall by the Boston Celtics.

Walsh arrived at Arkansas a McDonald’s All-American selection and as part of a historic recruiting class in the 2022 cycle. His lone season in Fayetteville can be described as inconsistent, but Walsh started to become a much more consistent option as the season progressed. He played some of his best basketball of the season in Arkansas’ NCAA Tournament run to the Sweet Sixteen.

Walsh finished the year having appeared in every game while averaging 7.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, 0.9 assists and 1.1 steals in 24 minutes per game.

While the box score stats don’t necessarily jump off the page, Walsh showed enough flashes to garner interest. During April’s NBA Draft Combine, Walsh continued to increase his draft stock with an impressive showing which led to his selection tonight.

Arkansas has now officially had three players selected in this year’s draft, the most since 1992 when four Razorbacks heard their name called.
