Jordan Domineck explains how Colorado compares to his previous college football stops

Jordan Domineck talked about his love for the intensity of Colorado’s spring practices

Jordan Domineck has seen a lot throughout his five years of college football. From starting out at Georgia Tech in 2018 to recording nearly 10 TFLs last season in the SEC, the Arkansas transfer defensive lineman hasn’t had any trouble earning respect now at Colorado.

In fact, Domineck’s strong first impressions have him as one of the first handful of Buffs to earn a jersey number this spring.

Domineck met with the media following practice on Thursday and opened up about how his first 10 spring practices in Boulder compare to his time at Georgia Tech and Arkansas.

“Being here at Colorado, it’s really a lot more intense with the practices, the tempo, the speed of the practices compared to other schools that I’ve been to,” Domineck said. “I’m not saying that the work is a lot harder or a lot easier, it’s not at all, but just the pace that we move at with the practices, the tempo, the way these coaches are making sure everybody’s on the right thing. Nobody cares about your feelings, we’re here to work. I love that. I love that environment. It took me a little minute to adjust to it since I was so used to different things, different coaching styles and everything. Being here with (defensive line) coach (Nick) Williams, being under coach (Charles) Kelly, under Coach Prime, it’s just a whole different feeling, a whole different environment. I’m just loving it. I’ve adapted to it and I feel like I’m starting to find my own within that process.”

Another new leader on defense to watch is LaVonta Bentley, a Clemson transfer linebacker who teammates often refer to as “Unc.”
