Jordan Beck’s big day at the plate helped Tennessee nab a walk-off extra-inning victory Tuesday night.
Beck, the Volunteers’ sophomore right fielder, clubbed two home runs, including a three-run shot in the bottom of the 10th inning to lift No. 10 UT to a 9-6 victory over East Tennessee State at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
Beck went 3-for-6 with two homers, an RBI double and two runs. He drove in five runs for the Vols (15-3).

Beck started the scoring with a solo homer in the bottom of the second inning.
Tennessee took a 2-0 lead on an RBI single by Drew Gilbert in the third.
After the Buccaneers (10-6) scored three runs in the fourth and tallied once in the fifth, the Vols answered with two runs in the sixth as Max Ferguson had an RBI triple and Liam Spence drove him in with a sacrifice fly.
Beck’s RBI double plated Jake Rucker to give Tennessee a 5-4 lead in the seventh.
Sevier County graduate Noah Webb made it 5-5 when he drove in a run for the Buccaneers with a sacrifice fly before Halls High product Bryce Hodge gave ETSU a 6-5 lead with an RBI groundout.
Gilbert tied things with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the eighth before Beck sealed the victory in the bottom of the extra frame.
