Jordan Addison brings Vikings back within a score vs. Lions

Addison caught his 10th touchdown in his rookie season

The fireworks have begun in Detroit. After a somewhat quiet first three quarters, both teams have put up touchdowns in quick succession, as the Minnesota Vikings got another score on the board with a deep toss from Nick Mullens to wide receiver Jordan Addison.

On the heels of the Amon-Ra St. Brown touchdown by the Lions, the Vikings were quick to respond, as they moved the ball down the field efficiently. Perhaps feeling a bit of desperation fighting for their playoff lives, head coach Kevin O’Connell drew up another shot play, and once again he was rewarded with a touchdown.

It was a simple route for Addison, as he just ran up the seam and blew by his defender. Mullens once again put the ball on the money and hit Addison for the 42-yard touchdown. Minnesota is now back within one score early in the fourth quarter. Minnesota needs a win and some help to get into the playoffs, so they still have some work to do in this one to hold up their end of the bargain.
