Jonathan Taylor named AFC offensive player of the year at the 101 awards

Jonathan Taylor was named the AFC offensive player of the year at the 101 awards.

Jonathan Taylor has made quite the name for himself since he decided to leave Wisconsin a year early in pursuit of an NFL career. Yesterday, he received significant recognition by the media for his outstanding sophomore season for the Indianapolis Colts.

Taylor was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Year at the 101 awards. The 101 awards are selected by a national selection committee of NFL media members.

This past season, the Colts star running back recorded 1,811 yards rushing (2,171 yards from scrimmage) while finding paydirt 20 times. Taylor’s 18 rushing touchdowns were the most in the NFL this season.

The former Badger also won the NFL rushing title in 2021-22 and was a unanimous first-team All-Pro selection.

The two-time Doak Walker award winner has officially thrown his name in the discussion for best running back in the NFL.
