[autotag]Johnny Sauter[/autotag] is returning to the NASCAR Truck Series for his third race of the 2024 season. According to the NASCAR Roster Portal, Sauter is scheduled to drive the No. 16 truck for [autotag]Hattori Racing Enterprises[/autotag] in the Truck Series race at Lucas Oil Raceway next weekend. Sauter has made two starts with Niece Motorsports in the No. 45 truck in 2024.
Hattori Racing Enterprises has entered one race during the 2024 Truck Series season but was unable to get on the track for qualifying due to rain at North Wilkesboro Speedway. Aric Almirola was supposed to pilot the No. 16 truck. Now, the former full-time Truck Series driver will get an opportunity at a third start during the 2024 NASCAR season.
Sauter doesn’t compete in many NASCAR races at 46 years old, as his full-time days appear to be in the past. However, it doesn’t mean Sauter can’t return for select NASCAR races throughout the season. Hattori Racing Enterprises will likely have to make the field on speed, and Sauter is an excellent choice to get the No. 16 team into the show.
