Johnny Davis named Midseason First-Team All-American by sporting news

The accolades just keep coming for Wisconsin’s sophomore guard Johnny Davis.

Another day, another recognition for Wisconsin Badgers star Johnny Davis. This time, he’s being recognized by sporting news as a Midseason First-Team All-American.

The sophomore guard is in the middle of a breakout campaign in his first season as a starter for the Badgers.

Last season, Davis averaged 7.0 points, and 4.1 rebounds off the bench in just over 24 minutes a game. This season, Davis has taken his game to new heights and leads the Badgers in scoring with 22.1 points per game, rebounds per game (7.5), assists (2.6), steals (1.5), and free throws made (74).

Davis is joined on the Midseason First-Team All-American list by: James Akinjo (Baylor), Paolo Banchero (Duke), Kofi Cockburn (Illinois), and Oscar Tshiebwe (Kentucky).
