Joel Klatt has high praise for Bucs rookie RB Bucky Irving

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are getting another dual-threat, three-down playmaker in fourth-round pick Bucky Irving

Rachaad White racked up over 1,500 yards of total offense last season, but that didn’t stop the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from adding another dynamic weapon to their offensive backfield in the 2024 NFL draft.

In the fourth round, the Bucs grabbed running back Bucky Irving out of Oregon, giving them another dual-threat back who can make big plays on all three downs.

Irving is a small but shifty runner who can break tackles with ease, and does some of his best work as a pass-catcher out of the backfield.

Joel Klatt of Fox Sports is a big fan of what Irving is bringing to Tampa Bay:

Irving’s presence should allow White to stay fresher throughout each game and over the long haul of the season, bolstering the Bucs’ overall ground game and ability to create yards after the catch on check-down throws.
