TORONTO — The Philadelphia 76ers have a 3-0 series lead in their first-round series with the Toronto Raptors thanks to getting contributions from just about everybody.
Joel Embiid has been dominant in the paint. James Harden has done a great job of making plays for others. Tobias Harris has done a little bit of everything. Danny Green and others have played well in this series, too.
Harris has made a ton of plays. He has been excellent on the defensive end against Raptors star Pascal Siakam. On the offensive end, he has made quick decisions and helped the heavy lifters.
“He’s been great,” said Embiid of Harris. “He’s been doing a good job on Pascal. He’s been doing an amazing job on him and, really, whoever he’s guarding. He had a block or a steal on (Gary) Trent in overtime. He had a couple key stops. He’s been doing that all series.”
On top of his defensive contributions, Harris has been very good on the offensive end. He’s averaging 19 points and shooting 63.6% from deep in the first three games. That type of contribution next to Harden and Embiid is critical.
“Obviously, his offensive game is decisive,” Embiid added. “He catches the ball, whether he goes up to shoot the ball or he’s gonna make a play and get off of it, he’s not trying to do too much, he’s been a huge piece. Really everybody, especially Tyrese, Danny, we got a chance. We just gotta do what we’re supposed to do.”
The Sixers look to finish the sweep on Saturday afternoon.
