After finishing as the runner-up in the MVP race for two consecutive seasons, Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid finally has his moment. The big fella was named the 2023 winner following a stellar season on the floor.
Embiid was absolutely phenomenal as he led the league in scoring at 33.1 points per game, grabbed 10.2 rebounds per game, and he dished out 4.2 assists while also blocking 1.7 shots per game. He also scored 50-plus points in a game three times including 52 on 20-for-25 shooting in an impressive win over the Boston Celtics on April 4.
