Joel Embiid reacts to go-ahead triple to lead Sixers past Bulls

Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid reacts to his go-ahead triple to lead a road win over the Chicago Bulls.

The Philadelphia 76ers were able to come up with a 114-109 win over the Chicago Bulls on the road on Saturday night for their second consecutive win. The team did get sloppy a bit after halftime as Chicago came charging back, but they were able to escape thanks to their star big man.

Joel Embiid returned after a one-game absence and he was huge down the stretch to lift the Sixers to a win. After missing two big free throws, he made up for his mistake as he drilled the go-ahead triple with 18.1 seconds left to give Philadelphia a 112-109 lead, and eventually, the win.

After the game, Embiid told NBC Sports Philadelphia about the shot: “Good play call by coach and I just had to do my job.”

He then took to Instagram and posted a picture of his reaction with an interesting caption,

Embiid finished with 25 points and seven rebounds on the night and, now, the Sixers will be looking to win a third game in a row when they finish the 4-game road trip on Monday against the Washington Wizards.
