The Philadelphia 76ers already knew they would be missing their star guard, Ben Simmons, on Saturday for their road matchup with the Milwaukee Bucks, but now they will be even more shorthanded for this big matchup.
The other half of their star duo, Joel Embiid, is now out for the matchup with right shoulder soreness. He suffered the injury in Thursday’s loss to the Bucks and he did warm-up on Saturday and he was expected to play, but he now will be a late scratch for the game.
The Sixers will now really have to dig deep in order to come up with a road win against a very good Milwaukee team. It will be tough to do without both Simmons and Embiid.

The Sixers do have options to turn to in this one to start in his place. They can go to Mike Scott or maybe they can turn to Dwight Howard, but coach Doc Rivers does like Howard with the second unit so it will be interesting to see what they do.
Tipoff from the Fiserv Forum us set for 3:30 p.m. EDT.
