The Cincinnati Bengals expect big things from Joe Mixon in 2021.

It seems some fantasy football experts do too.

The folks at Pro Football Focus, for example, expect Mixon to score as the eighth-highest running back next year by totaling 1,411 yards with nine total touchdowns.

That’s the total-yardage range Mixon hit in the 2018 and 2019 seasons when he rushed for 1,100-plus yards with nearly 300 receiving yards. If nothing else, that sort of return to normalcy would be a boon for the offense after Mixon could only make it in six games last year due to injury.

Should Mixon reach that 1,100-yard threshold as a rusher again, it would’ve placed him in the top five at the position last year.

Just keep in mind that any fantasy football projection for Mixon has to take into account the Bengals could be passing more than ever now that Ja’Marr Chase has joined the cast of Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd. But even that context should have fantasy footballers more than content to make Mixon an early-round pick.
