So much for those Joe Burrow training camp struggles.

It didn’t take long for Joe Burrow to turn the tide after an iffy start to Cincinnati Bengals training camp that had him struggling in all areas.

Only a few days removed from asking coaches to put more pressure around him in the pocket so he can get used to a pass rush again, Burrow lit up Bengals practice.

Burrow went 6-of-7 in a move-the-ball period and in another session he went 10-of-15, peppering all three of his star wideouts with targets while Joe Mixon looked strong on the ground.

Perhaps most importantly, Burrow seemed more active in the pocket than usual. He’s starting to navigate messy pockets more with his feet and scramble out under pressure, throwing on the run.

Count Ja’Marr Chase as one seeing the difference.

“I thought we had a good day today as an offensive unit,” Chase said, according to Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com. “We capitalized last week on how we came out. Joe came out ready, all the receivers came ready. The running backs, the line. I think the majority did a good job.”

Long story short, Burrow didn’t need long to start silencing any doubters. More importantly, he’s clearly overcoming the mental aspect, which means he’ll be back to his normal self that much faster.
