Joe Burrow, the probable No. 1 pick in the 2020 NFL draft, now has a giraffe named after him.
Chalk it up as another accomplishment on the longrunning resume for the Heisman Trophy winner and national champion who figures to be on his way to the Cincinnati Bengals soon enough.
The Baton Rouge Zoo announced the development Friday, revealing that one of the zoo’s newcomers will be named Burreaux.
It’s no shock this was the result of a poll in the Baton Rouge area given Burrow’s accomplishments at LSU. If all goes according to plan, we might not be too far removed from Burrow getting his name involved at the Cincinnati Zoo too.
You voted. We tallied. Meet Burreaux!!! Thanks to everyone who nominated and supported the cause. This little guy has big shoes to fill, but something tells us he's up for the challenge! pic.twitter.com/G1BjA0tX27
