It’s safe to say the biggest Cincinnati Bengals stars like the redesigned jerseys just as much as fans do.
Take Joe Burrow, who led the way with the following, according to Tyler Dragon of the Cincinnati Enquirer:
“These uniforms excite me… I think the fans will like them and they’ll be good for us. The guys that are here are the kind of people that are going to take this organization to where we want to go. We’re the future. It’s going to be a fun ride.”
Burrow, of course, was speaking about the players who joined him in attending the big reveal.
Such as wideout Tyler Boyd, who kept his reaction short and sweet, according to Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com: “Unbelievable. They’re futuristic. A new glow for the new us.”
Star running back Joe Mixon was there too and pointed out one of the sleekest new features of the jerseys — the Paul Brown signature on the back.
“They’re fire. That means they’re fresh,” Mixon said. “I love the font. My favorite thing is the signature on the back.”
Let safety Jessie Bates tell it, these are tone-setters as a new era begins:
“We’re setting the standard of what we want. It’s a whole new locker room. Stuff like this gives the players a lift. I feel the guys here are among the main guys. It’s a different look and we’re excited about it.”
Similar story from defensive end Sam Hubbard:
Sam Hubbard on new uniforms: We’re really excited about this. It’s going to bring a lot of energy to us and the fan base … This symbolizes a fresh start where we can go out and accomplish what we want to accomplish. #Bengals
